The Founding Shareholders acquired the company from MGX in April 2003, where it had previously traded profitably for 10 years as Magic SA. The name was changed to Magix as management added new products and services and took the business into the Integrated Risk Management space.

Chris Hills

Chairman and Shareholder | B.Compt (Hons.) C.A (S.A.).
Focused on realising the company’s strategic goals, Chris heads the legal and financial aspects of the rapidly growing company and is experienced in risk management, compliance, integration and corporate governance. He was previously CEO of MGX, one of South Africa’s largest IT companies (listed on the JSE as Metrofile).

Prior to that Chris was with Anglo American Corporation for nine years and held several senior financial positions.

Amir Lubashevsky

Director and Shareholder
Amir is directing Magix's marketing, sales and global vendor relationships. He is also responsible for growing the brand of Magix as well as enhancing its core offerings. Amir has an experience in management and technology. He enjoys hands on sales management and solution developments.

Amir is also passionate about mentoring and coaching sales and management teams. In that assisting a few young companies re-position themselves in the market place to achieve their goals.

Hedley Hurwitz

Director and Shareholder
An experienced software developer and entrepreneur, Hedley has a passion for business and technology. Hedley manages the day to day operations, focused on implementing Magix’ technical and commercial strategies.

Tzvi Appel

Director and Shareholder
Resident in Israel and original co-founder of Exsol and Magic SA, Tzvi continually plumbs his extensive network of global contacts to source new technologies for Magix. He also closely watches developments in the management of risk, information and standards – as well as networking, imaging, communication and hardware.

Tzvi is also responsible for the group’s international portfolio of investments and represents Magix on a few boards.
