The Founding Shareholders acquired the company from MGX in April 2003, where it had previously traded profitably for 10 years as Magic SA. The name was changed to Magix as management added new products and services and took the business into the Integrated Risk Management space.
Magix Integration (Pty) Ltd is an IT veteran, built on the premise of technology-assisted enterprise risk management and business integration services, with many years’ experience both in South Africa and on the global stage.
In 2007, the Conexus Investment Fund purchased 20% of the company in a private equity deal and became an equal partner with the company's existing shareholders – driving forward Magix' aim to pursue future non-organic growth.
Formerly Magic SA, Magix was formed when the shareholders of Wavelengths 202 (Pty) Ltd acquired Magic SA from MGX, a Nasdaq-listed IT group, in 2003. It remains the exclusive distributor for Magic Software Enterprises Ltd of Israel.
